Rediscovering Banawe: A Culinary Journey at King Chef Dimsum Kitchen

My godfather, my grandmother, and I have long adored exploring Banawe for its lively streets and culinary delights. We’ve strolled through its bustling alleys, uncovering its hidden gems and relishing its diverse flavors. It was bittersweet to return without her, but during our latest trip, we discovered there is now a King Chef Dimsum Kitchen on the second floor of 238 Banawe Center, a place we usually visit before the pandemic.

The great thing about this building is that they have a convenient parking at the back. There is also a pathway towards the elevator and escalator making it easy for customers. But before we went to the second floor, we checked if the restaurants we used to dine in are still there. There are some that aren’t there anymore but that is okay.

After checking the first floor, we took the escalator and saw the glass walls of King Chef Dimsum Kitchen. From there, you can see the restaurant’s large, air-conditioned space. When we went in, we could feel the cool air which was a nice relief from the intense summer heat outside.

Upon arrival, the King Chef Dimsum Kitchen assisted us. They were truly friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. When we were handed the restaurant’s menu and order form. I don’t know what you call that there are numerous Chinese restaurants that hand customers a paper with their menu and you just fill it out. I actually like it to be honest. You can ask their actual menu if you aren’t familiar.

Anyway, we were drawn in by the variety of Cantonese delights on the menu as we looked through it. We had their White Chicken Ric, Roast Duck with Asado Rice, Taosi Spareribs and the irresistible Xiao Long Bao.

We chose the Dragon’s Summer Cooler to satisfy our thirst which go well with our lunch. It was a delightful concoction of melon, lychee, and dragon fruit with just the right amount of sweetness. We were taken to a state of summertime pleasure with each drink.

In a nutshell, our meal at King Chef Dimsum Kitchen was a fantastic rediscovery of the food scene in Banawe. It was a worthwhile journey because of the excellent service, the delicious food, and the location. Therefore, if you ever find yourself in Banawe, you should visit King Chef Dimsum Kitchen.
